October favorites

After a short break I’m back again with October favorites. So let’s start!
Beauty favorites:

1.Essence soufflé touch blush (in shade fresh apricot)
I was at the shop searching for all other stuff when I saw this. I tried it on my wrist and I couldn’t say no. I had to buy it. I’ve never tried I cream blush so maybe because of the different experience or maybe because of its’ wonderful color and shine so far I love this product. You can easily build it up and apply with fingers or brush, whatever you want. I’m really enjoying this autumnal color.

2. Belaton compact powder
I wasn’t meant to buy this one too but as you can see I ended up loving this product. There is written on the packaging “Ultra silky powder, natural look effect, perfect coverage”. You can believe it or not but all this is true and these are the qualities that I fell in love with. So far I can’t say anything bad about it.

3.Shiseido Zen white heat edition perfume
This is a gift from my boyfriend’s parents that I’ve been using every day this month and I am afraid that eventually I will run out of it. This perfume has very unique sent. It isn’t sweet or fresh I really can’t tell what has similar sent. You just have to smell it and fell it yourself.

Non beauty related favorites:
This month I’ve been loving a few songs and you know that state of mind when you have to hear those songs again and again and you never get tired of them. So that’s what happened…

I like to listen this one in the mornings or when I am on public transport.

And this one is much calmer and is perfect to relax or as a background.

Also I’ve been loving a musical project (Wikipedia says that) called Mesita. I found their music very unique and I liked every songs that I heard. Make sure yourselves. Here's the link to its' youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/mesitamusic and one of my favorite songs:

And the last thing I wanted to share with you is small shorts by Simon Tofield.  I love all shorts but these animated cartoons just stole my heart. It’s about Simon and his cat and what a surprise it’s called “Simon’s cat”. I strongly recommend it for cat lovers and not necessarily for them . The way that Simon shows his cat ,all the manners and situations are so authentic that it is certainly worth  a good word and a smile. I promise you couldn’t stop laugh when you see it.

Products that I am wearing today

Hello everyone!
This and last week I was very busy because this is an exams time for me so most probably this will be the only post till this period is over. I decided to show you what make up I am wearing today and give a short review about those products.

Naturia body butter with coffee : I really like this product especially smell of it. I feel that coffee sent is just perfect choice for mornings because it gives you energy boost. I tend to use body butters on my face so this is what I did this time.

Manhattan clear face perfect mat: This product is quite a while in my make up bag but I started using it properly recently when I finished my BB cream. I don’t have a really strong opinion about this one. I find that it dries out my skin a little bit so I use lots of cream before it and then I immediately apply it on my face. On the other hand, it really reduces spots on the skin.

 Essence concealer: I love this product. Today I finished it and I will definitely repurchase it. This babe dose everything it is meant for.

Essence 2 in 1 volume mascara: I have this for a while and I kind a like it but it isn’t the best mascara that I’ve tried but for its price I think it is really good. It has two brushes. One is thicker and bigger and other is smaller so you can choose one of two looks. I personally use only second one.

Essence eyeliner: Love it. This is the only eyeliner that I’ve been using for two years. It lasts long, brush is not to small and not too big. It’s everything you can ask for.

Blush professional eyeshadow palette: I have three palettes but I’ve been using only one so far. I think it’s warm earth tones palette. I can’t say anything bad about it. It has everything that suits me and I’ve been doing very well with it.

Catrice cosmetics colour infusion longlasting lipstain: In my opinion ,this is a very controversial product.
I am still searching for a good lip product that I would like. When I found this I thought that this it. It smells amazing and taste of it on your lips is also very good. It feels like vanilla kiss. Thing I like the most about it  it’s that you really can’t tell that it’s something on your lips. This lipstain looks so natural but also gives you a really good color. Unfortunately, sometimes it dries a little bit and seems like its empty but after a while you can use it again and this is really pulling my nerves because I like it so much that I want to it use all the time.

Week in pictures No.1

This is my week in pictures. My every week starts with  few days on which I can sleep one hour more than usually and sometimes I am even able to eat some breakfast. So...this is my highest point of the week in kitchen...these sandwiches.

The rest of the week I was a frequent guest in cafes and restaurants and on Tuesday I was surprised by a set of tea that my boyfriend ordered. It looked amazing but in my opinion the taste wasn't so good as view.

Unfortunately the weather the whole week was quite chilly so I spent some time at home studying and admiring the view from my living room.

On Friday I went to my university party but I am not able to get pictures from it,yet. Sunday was the most beautiful day because the sun was shining and everyone in the streets were happy.Me and my boyfriend had a photoshoot and I have only one photo from it.

Empties No.1

Hello everyone! Empties are here! I am going to introduce you some empties that made a huge impression on me. I decided to begin with my least favorite one and build up the excitement to the one that rocked my world. So lets start:

1.Essence black mania mascara. I can’t say anything good about this mascara but also I can’t say anything bad about it too. It’s cheap but still you can find much better products for that price.

2. Oriflame HairX shine boost serum for light hair. I didn’t notice extra shine on my hair or any other particular effect that it should give but it smells really good and I felt that it softens my hair a little bit.
All in all, I liked using it but I won’t buy it again.

3. Oriflame HairX daily care leave-in conditioner for normal hair. I really liked this product. To begin with, I like that it’s a leave-in conditioner and in this way I can save precious time in the morning when I usually wash my hair. It does its job, smells good and sometimes I even used it in the middle of a day to refresh my hair.

4. The body shop olive body butter. This thing makes wonders. I enjoyed every moment using it. It has a sent but nothing you can notice yet his most important feature is that it’s amazing in skin care. Despite the fact that this is a body butter and it is meant to be used on your body I used it as face cream too because it is so delicate, I found this formula perfect for those days when my skin is oily and also for those days when it’s dry. I know,  it’s magic.

Fashion commercials

Hello everyone! Today I decided to remember my old passion which is advertising. Many people hate annoying adverts that pop in their face every day and almost everywhere but  I love that effort some people of that business make to impress us, our audience. I do not admire those cheap commercials that advertise washing powder or something alike. My cup of tea is those pieces which are intelligent, clever, most usually contains a message and has something more than just advertising certain product.
In my opinion, the master of this kind of work is Guy Ritchie. He is a well-known director and he worked with some of the most amazing films like Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, RocknRolla, Lock Stock and two smoking barrels but today not about that. He has directed some superb fashion related commercials too. One of them is for H&M and the other is for Dior. I love his sense of humor and how clever he uses famous actors or celebrities. It is just pure pleasure to watch how David Beckham runs through his neighborhood only with his undies with the soundtrack of Forest the people- pumped up kicks and what about Jud Law in Dior commercial… it is better to watch than read about it thousands of times so…check these wonderful pieces of Guy Ritchie.

September favorites

I think that it’s a good sign to begin my blog with something as positive as favorites. September is a first month of fall and there were loads of things to buy and like  in this transitional period to survive light (or sometimes not) freeze.
To begin with, I immediately remembered my skin care absence in summer because there is nothing to care about. Sun cream was the only  item that I had with myself all the time but fall is a different kind of affair. My face and hand skin is very sensitive and  I couldn’t just left it in uneven fight with increasing cold. So I purchased some creams. First goodie is no name hand cream with goat milk and omg!!! It makes wonders. It’s not the first time that I notice that products with goat milk smell incredibly but also they are really good at their job. This one in particularly has to moist your skin, promote the regeneration of it, provide gentleness and strengthen your nails and it does everything. Most probably you couldn’t find the same product but you can search for creams with similar ingredients (goat milk extract and vitamin e). I highly recommend this and alike products. Now I kind a have a fling on them. Second skin care product that I fell in love with  previous month was Naturia body butter-coffee. Again it smells like heaven. No, actually it smells like coffee. To be honest I don’t even like coffee but this baby is different kind of story (maybe because I don’t need to drink it). Short story long I don’t care if it does it’s job or not (it does) because every time I put it on myself I feel flow of energy rushing into me. I guess it’s an equivalent to a morning cup of coffee.
I think I will wrap everything up with a non-beauty related item. It’s an accessory. Nowadays I am learning to take a glimpse on my wrist and not on my mobile phone when I am interested in what time it is because now I have a brand new watch. My boyfriend gave it to me as a present on our one year relationship anniversaries and it’s the best present I have ever had. It’s a nice symbol and beautiful accessory that I simply love.

Beginning

Why am I starting a blog? Well I can think of few reasons but the most important of them is that I feel that something is missing in my life. I finished high school and know I am a student in university.
I am studying a really serious discipline and every day is about science, competition and of course seriousness. Most of the time I feel okay about that but sometimes it’s hard to make myself believe that it’s my place and old-new passion is becoming more and more interesting. I believe that blogging is a way out of my tricky situation.
Why summer flings and what will it be about? Actually, I do not know. I felt a need to create a blog. I imagined in my head how it should look like, what I will be posting in there then I sat down at the computer and  they requested me to type in a name for my blog. I froze. This thing never crossed my mind. I even thought that I don’t need a blog any more but then I laughed at myself and started thinking about the name. So I came out with summer flings. I just like the warmth and sensation of those two words. It’s like a secret, like a passion and most importantly nothing serious. It will be about my interests, fashion, design, beauty and art.
