EYELINER VS. EYELINER

Hello my dearest friends!
Today is quite and exciting day because we have match going on a battle between Deborah Milano 24 Ore Eyeliner Pen and Essence Superfine Eyeliner Pen. A background story for this is that I am wearing eyeliner every day for about 3 years and during this period of time I’ve tried Oriflame, Essence and other brands but for the last year I was using Essence Liquid eyeliner and I was pretty happy with it until a month before I have decided that I need to explore the waters and see what else is out there. I decided to start with pen type of products because I have used them before and I was quite happy. I needed something easier to use than a liquid or gel products because you need precision with them and sometimes in the morning I simply don’t have time for that. So I ended up with two products that I have mentioned earalier and I have to say a lot about them.

Let’s begin with Deborah Milano 24 Ore Eyeliner Pen. This is how the company itself describes this product “An incredibly soft-textured pencil that highlights the outline of the eyes with precision, for flawless long-lasting color. Dermatologist tested. Water resistant.” And it’s true that this product is really long lasting. Whenever I draw a line on my hand or have a stain it is almost impossible to wash it of. To be honest it fades a little bit and looks a bit blue after a while like a marker. You might ask why I said “I draw a line on my hand” because this is an eye product and an answer is that I used this pen only two times because a part of description about soft texture is a total lie. It is really hard as pencil and I can’t get nor smooth, nor precise, nor dark line with it.

So that’s why I got another similar product but this time when I was at the store I made sure that the tip of the pen would be soft and kind a flexible. I chose Essence Superfine Eyeliner Pen. Wanna guess what happened? It was too soft! Is it possible? Whenever I tried to use it I had to press it so hard to my eye and it still hadn’t left any marks on my eye lid … It was total disappointment. At least it cost two times less than Deborah Milano product.

In conclusion, none of these products is a winner. They are both looser and it was horrible mistake to buy them. Do you have different experience with these two products and my story was just a big misunderstanding? Please let me know. Also share with me if you know any good eyeliner pens.

  2. Great post! I have used the essence eyeliner before and I really liked it! I don't think people need to spend heaps of money on eyeliner, cheaper the better in my opinion. One of my all time favourites is the Eyeko eyeliners, give them a go :)
